Top 7 Things To Do in Georgia.

Tbilisi, Georgia.

It is very rare that when I say "I've lived in Georgia" people assume I meant in the states. Georgia, the country, is such an amazing country with amazing people, food and culture, that everyone should know about it.
Georgia isn't the country to go shopping in, it is a religious country with great food, and great people.

Barbarestan.

Georgia, has amazing food. I always tell people, that when they go to Georgia they have to try all the food, and for them to be ready to gain a lot of weight.
Barbarestan is a very interesting restaurant, a restaurant that you will find nowhere else. The restaurant isn't really a restaurant, but a cozy Georgia apartment. The menu is modified and alternated, from a unique recipe book that the owner found from the 19th century duchess Barbara Jorjadze.

Tbilisi Reservoir

Better known as Tbilisi Sea, this artificial big lake was opened in 1953. A great place to go when the city gets too hot, even though it's not the cleanest lake to some people's standards, I loved going there. There are lots of places where the beach gets quite crowded, but it is possible to find a beach area, that isn't crowded. Boats, and canoes are possible to rent out, and its great to be able to go around the big lake without tiring yourself out too much.

1 Day Wine Tour, Kakheti.

Georgia is known for its wine. Most families make their own wine, and if you're invited to a family dinner, you will most likely get drunk with them.
The Kakheti region is one of the main wine producing regions in Georgia. The tour will include tasting the different red and white wines that are produced there, fresh Georgian bread that is served straight from the fireplace, visit to the Town of Love (Sighnaghi) and visiting the 16th century Gremi Monastery.

Turtle Lake.

Turtle Lake is always a great place to go when you just want to relax. There aren't many things to do, but it's nice to sit down and sunbathe. There are various different restaurants and cafes there. People can also rent out pedalos, and go around the lake, although it's not too big so the trip won't last a long time.

Royal Bath.

An experience everyone must have. Before going in, be warned that the smell might make it unpleasant for some, but it is something that everyone should try at least once. The smell comes from the sulfur baths, the baths are very healthy and lots of people have experienced better skin after the baths. The smell is very rotten egg like, but if you don't mind the smell, it has lots of health benefits.

Prospero's Books and Caliban's Coffee

One of my favourite places to visit was the Prospero's Books bookshop, which has a great selection of English language books, and after buying a book, going to the Caliban's Coffee cafe and have something to drink or eat while indulging in my new book.

Ronny's Pizza.

The pizza that I still drool over, probably the biggest thing I miss about Georgia. Ronnie's Pizza and their cookies were what I wanted to eat every single day when I didn't want Georgian food, or couldn't get it.
Ronny's Pizza serve American pizza in Tbilisi, Saburtalo and Vake since 2009. They use local supply as much as possible, and make everything from scratch, including roasting their own coffee beans 3 times a week.
The best pizza I have ever had, and best cookies, that still make my mouth water just at the thought of them.

Georgia is a beautiful country full of different things to see and do. I loved walking around the streets in the evening. Best way to explore a city, in my opinion, is to get lost in it. This way, you will find different places that you otherwise wouldn't have known or heard about. Still one of my favourite countries, and will always be the No. 1 country I recommend to everyone.
