Canada Press Trip 2018.

Before I start writing about my (amazing) trip to Canada, I want to talk about my lack of blogs.

I've had a few blog posts sitting in my draft box for a while now, and I haven't published them. Everything that I've written, and edited myself, made me feel like it wasn't good enough. However, I came to the conclusion that it doesn't matter if it's not good right now. How am I supposed to improve if I don't publish, or write anything? Even if people don't read it, I owe it to myself to write more blogs that might not be great, but with time I will improve my writing and find my writing style.
Now, onto my trip to Canada!

BC & Rocky Mountains Spectacular by West Adventures.

Canada was one country that has been on my bucket list for a while, and I thought it was going to stay for a lot longer. I was lucky to get this trip, and cross it off the bucket list. I saw amazing views, beautiful lakes, animals, and the whole trip was extremely memorable.

I arrived to Vancouver a day before meeting the group, so was able to see some of Vancouver, and I definitely would love to explore it a lot more. The city is extremely clean, and walking around I felt very safe. On my second day there I had a free afternoon, and what did I do? I went to Walmart.

Meeting the group initially I felt quite anxious, I'm not the greatest at meeting new people, and when speaking in front of a large group I get really hot, and red in the face. One thing I could think in my head when meeting the group and our tour guide Grace was introducing herseelf was "Please don't make us introduce ourselves, Please don't make us introduce ourselves.." and next thing she said was to go round the circle and introduce yourself to everyone and tell the group why you were on the trip. I tried to make my introduction shortšŸ¤£
The first couple of days was a little awkward, as it would be when you meet a group of new people. But we got along quickly, and everyone turned out to be great.

One of my favourite parts of the trip was the houseboat. Although our room did make me feel claustrophobic, it was beautiful being out on the lake, and seeing the star-lit sky during the night. The houseboat was on Shuswap lake, and it was a nice mini break from camping. When we found our spot for the night, a lot of the people slid down the slide on the back of the boat into the (very cold) lake. I chickened out of the slide, but did jump into the lake. Everyone was telling me how it wasn't cold, they were lying. Later that night we went into the hottub that was on the boat, and that was very relaxing. I loved being in the hottub, and being able to watch the starlit sky, I even saw some shooting stars.

I can't explain how beautiful all the scenery was. Everywhere we went and stopped, it was incredible. We even saw some wildlife, a bear at Emerald Lake, an elk, a moose, a mink, some chipmunks, woodpeckers. I loved the trip so much, I even decided to get a bear tattoo.

Although I didn't enjoy the camping so much (more the cold temperature, and putting up and down the tents) it was really nice to be surrounded by nature, and it was my first trip like that (probably explains why I wasn't prepared like most).
One morning comes to mind before all, and that was when we stayed at 108 Mile Ranch, and I woke up in the morning, getting excited for our horse riding trail, and I drew the curtains, and it was white. Everything was covered in snow, and it was beautiful to see Canada in tsuch different weather.

To those thinking of visiting Canada, I strongly recommend it, there are many amazing trips, and places to be visited in Canada. I definitiely came out of my comfort zone during this trip, and I'm glad I did.
